- I belong to a family of doyens of Indian Classical Music and son of late Ustad Bahadur Khan and grandson of late Ustad Baba Alauddin Khan and late Ustad Ayet Ali Khan and nephew of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Pandit Ravishankar.Being brought up in this musical environment from childhood, I started learning sarod from my father Ustad Bahadur Khan when I was thirteen. I Performed in various prestigious Indian national music conferences like Dover Lane Music Conference (Kolkata), Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan Memorial Society(Delhi), Sadarang Music Conference, Surdas Sangeet Sammelan (Music Conference) etc. Also performed in various Indian Classical Music Conferences in Europe including Norway, Italy, Denmark, Holland, Sweden, Germany and England in 2002 and 2003.I have a lot of admirers in another cultured country, Bangladesh. I also performed in programs at All India Radio and Television.I organize a music festival every year in Kolkata to commemorate my father's death anniversary .I am actively involved in promoting Indian Classical Music through Ustad Bahadur Khan School of Music in Kolkata and engaged in grooming many local and overseas disciples.
